This palette was the most flattering on me and in my opinion the most well-balanced neutral palette in the collection. There is also a matte black included in this palette, but it is paired with an iridescent white, a pearly pink highlight, a taupe and a gorgeous asphalt. My favourite palette of the five mentioned is a myriad of elegant and casual grey-toned shades. Pair with: Rouge Dior #977 Pied-de-Poule (wine) & Dior Vernis in #206 Pied-de-Poule (greige ) I LOVE the variety of finishes that you get with this one and the pigmentation! The palette centers around a matte black which is surrounded by velvet, iridescent and metallic variations of red, blue and green in a charcoal base. The undertones of each shadow varies but each one is intense (but blendable) in its own right. It includes an assortment of deep, edgy shades that wear beautifully chic. Smokey-eye lovers rejoice! The darkest palette, Pied-de-Poule is a sultry vixens dream come true. Pair with: Rouge Dior #135 Carré Bleu D’Or (beige) & Dior Vernis in #796 Carré Bleu (blue ) I really like that a steel shade was included and also like using the midnight blue to smoke out evening looks, however I would have like a different shade in place of the pastel blue included. Inspired by Raf Simons’ Fall 2014 runway collection, this palette has a casual vibe to it, which I can certainly appreciate. Blue shades intimidate me for some reason but surprisingly these shades worked out well. I consider blue to be one of the most challenging shades to work with on my skin tone. Pair with: Rouge Dior #354 Rose Tutu (pink) & Dior Vernis in #254 Rose Tutu (pink ) I like using an extra dark black liner and jet black mascara when creating a look using these shadows to balance out some of the soft/subtleness. The shimmery shadows in this palette come in varying shades of pink and work well together for a more feminine look. This palette was the one that surprised me most since you don’t normally see pinks in a Fall lineup. Pair with: Rouge Dior #869 Rouge Massai (brick red) & Dior Vernis in #853 Massai (red) Tutu Pink I’ve been loving the other shades though, especially the bottom two….a stunning gold with excellent pigmentation and an electrifying satin chocolate brown. This may be true however the central shade in this palette is quite difficult for me to pull off. “Intense, dramatic and luminous, red electrifies any look”. They themselves however, can be used to create a natural daytime look (using the upper trio of shadows) or a more sophisticated evening look (using the lower trio of shadows). As mentioned, t he palettes, which will join the permanent collection have been paired with coordinating shades for lips & nails (more on those below). The signature shade is housed in the center of the palette while the four accompanying or “accessory” shades surround it. Each Dior palette includes five eye shadows with a variety of textures (i.e.
